| We believe in the True and Living God of the Bible, and that there is a
trinity of persons in the Godhead: the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost, and yet
there are not three gods, but one God. |
|
| We believe that the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are the
inspired Word of God and the only rule of faith and practice. |
|
| We believe that in the fall of Adam and the imputation of his sinful
nature to his posterity, that man was rendered incapable of recovering
himself, by his own free will and ability, to a righteous state, and that
without the shed blood of Jesus Christ, he is unacceptable before a perfect
and holy God. |
|
| We believe in the everlasting love of God to His people and the eternal
election of a definite number of the human race to grace and glory, and that
there was a covenant of grace and redemption made between the Father and the
Son before the world began, in which the salvation of the elect was secured,
and they in particular are redeemed through the death and resurrection of
Christ. |
|
| We believe that sinners are justified in the sight of God only by the
imputation of Christ's righteousness to them. |
|
| We believe that all who were chosen in Christ will be effectually
called, regenerated, sanctified, supported by the Spirit, and kept by the
power of God, so that they shall be preserved in Jesus Christ, and not one
of them shall be finally lost. |
|
| We believe that it is the responsibility of Christians to show love and
support to God's children in this world, and that by helping others and
sharing the good news of the gospel, we may be of service in God's Kingdom. |
|
| We believe that good works are the fruit of the Spirit and follow after
regeneration and that they can only justify us in the sight of men and
angels and are evidence of our gracious state. |
|
| We believe that there will be a resurrection of the dead and a general
judgment, and that the happiness of the righteous and the punishment of the
wicked will be eternal. |
